Pregnancy

A pregnancy pushes the body and soul to peak performance. It is a very special time for both the expectant mother and unborn child. Pregnancy causes changes in the body in general and in particular to the musculoskeletal system. Many women experience these changes as pain and tension in their back, neck, calves and buttocks. In addition to hormonal changes, the growing baby bump also alters posture. The abdominal muscles are an important pillar of physical stability. However, during pregnancy, this pillar loses its strength, which can impact the back.

To ease pain and discomfort during pregnancy, physiotherapy offers techniques to strengthen, stretch and relax the body and to gain trust in it.

My therapy bench is suitable for face-down position even during pregnancy.
